South Asian Village Empowerment International's
(SAVE-INTL) goal is to provide the socially
disadvantaged rural poor of Tamilnadu, South India with
the tools to create a better and more secure future for
themselves, their families and their villages.
These are the tools of self-empowerment: education,
vocational skills, knowledge, literacy, and
numeracy, which can lead them to enhanced economic
security, social respect and power and greater
community cooperation and solidarity.
Tamilnadu Village Outreach and Research Association
(TVO) is the Tamilnadu, India based "Registered
Charitable Trust" that we work in partnership with
to make these goals reality.

Starting with a meeting in January 2004 with TVO,
SAVE-INTL has slowly and carefully developed an
effective and sustainable program that presently
extends to over 17 villages in a regional network of
after-school study and tuition centers and women's
vocational training programs housed in permanent
buildings constructed specifically for this purpose and
donated to the village. For more detailed Information
